Usually early, around May/June time, but I've also seen them in flower in August - yours may sit there and open next year, or they may open in the next week or so with this warmer weather.

Agree with bamboo, normally May-June. Are you sure you are not now just looking at seed heads? The flowers and not exactly impressive and if your Cordyline is tall you may have missed it and apart from tiny white flower heads there is no difference. Your Cordyline will start to branch where the flower stalk was.

The flowers might not be impressive but the scent they give out certainly is.One cannot mistake the abundance of bees flying around them when they do flower. One of mine was 5mtrs.tall, was being the apt. word.It branched out to 4 mini trunks, one of which growing over the neighbours garden and after I cut it it off 18 mths ago ,3 new growths appeared on the stump. On the strength of that ,I cut off the remaining 3 trunks and already there is a 1" new growth.I have done the same with my other tree and that has new growth on the stump as well,,so both my trees are now at a more desirable and manageable hight.I don,t know whether to call it Pollicing or Copparding?kerryvw.

I find that I have to be up very close to smell Cordyline flowers as it is a faint scent, at least to me. We all smell flowers differently: some people do not smell Freesia, whilst I think it is divine.
