I was given perennial sweet pea seeds from a friend in Devon and I picked some pods as well from a plant growing up a nearby fence. I planted them out in the spring, keeping each batch separate. They grew well. They had tiny white flowers which turned into bunches of black berries (like black currants). People said they were Deadly Nightshade. What happened to my sweet peas?

Answers

Somebody picked the wrong seeds. Or they failed and the seeds of the Nightshade were in the compost.
