Any suggestions. Looks like the obvious Nerine but something's telling me otherwise.

I would like to see a close up of one of the flowers to make an id.

That is why I wanted to see a close up, Amaryllis are fairly easy to distinguish.

There is a photo of this nerine with purple stems on this link. http://chartwellgardensnt.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/dscf0282.jpg
following the links I eventually got to http://ntgardentales.hortweek.com/2012/10/17/kitchen-garden-beauties/
The plant is id'd as Nerine Bowdenii. The thin strap like leaves appear after the flowers have died back and may be hardy.

Can we have a sniff ?
A waft or a whiff?
Not too tall a plant in a nice sheltered spot.
Is it still out?
