I've had it in the ground for many years, and we've had winters when it goes below -5 ... and it survives :)

Having looked through my plant labels I have discovered that the variety is "Hawkshead." I believe that this is a slightly hardier variety.
Comments, please.

No idea as I can't find any definitive info on. All the F. megellanica are hardy though.

I have had a Fuchsia Magellanica Alba 'Ladies Eardrops' in my front garden for some years and its big bush now.
Fuchsia Hawkshead is on the RHS site and it is listed as 'hardiness H4' . Some growers list it as Fuchsia magellanica 'Hawkshead' and say it is winter hardy.

It was hardy in Stafford if that's any help.

Many thanks, to all.
From the info. received I think it will be fine with an extra mulch before any real cold weather sets in.
It is planted in among the normal magellicana in a group and the contrast is great.
I will also take some hardwood cuttings and hopefully overwinter them.
