When planting spring bulbs do you add anything to the compost ie bone meal etc

Answers

If you are planting in containers outside, then use ordinary compost alone. For indoors, bulb fibre (contains charcoal to keep compost sweet). As another member has already stated in a previous answer, bulbs have already stored all the energy they require during their previous growth.

If you want them to flower the following year the time to feed is after the flowers are over, using a high potash feed.
