My Arbutus tree is about ten years old, it has masses of flowers every year but maybe five or six fruits. Is there anything I can do to make it produce more fruit

Thank you, hopefully I will get more fruits next year.

The fruits on Arbutus present this year won't be from the flowers you had this year - it takes a year after flowering for the fruits to be red. This plant is known for producing lots of flowers and not many fruits - it seems most of the flowers just don't get pollinated, presumably because when they're in full flower, there aren't many bees about to do it. You may have more luck next year with the fruits - we've had an 'Indian summer' so maybe there were/are enough bees about to have pollinated more flowers.
