I reckon you're right, Spritzhenry - Tibouchina heteromalia to be precise, and a not very well one at that. Looks like its starving, suffering lack of water, and probably needs repotting!

I thought they belonged to something else, Stera. They looked too diminutive to belong to this plant, poor thing.

They are exactly like Tibouchina heteromalia flowers though, Spritz, although a little smaller than they should be.

I should have blown the photo up, Bamboo. I'm sure you're right. I'm not surprised the flowers are small, if the plant is stressed.

Could it be a Tibouchina? The leaves look familiar. Did you see any purple flowers on it?
