if you keep dead heading them they will keep going for ages. they will aslo set seed and then you have more winter pansies for next year.

Doesnt work for me they get to straggly, I replace them every autumn also I like to ring the changes with colours.

Mine always get very straggly and I remove them! Is there an art to keeping them more compact then? I still have them in pots and in the ground but was thinking of removing them today!

i cut them down by half and i have some that are now 3 yrs old.

Thank you, Seaburngirl! I did think of that before but wondered if that would 'work' wth annuals...or so called annuals! I'll give it a try.

Do you think they would stand being moved as well, as I need some of the pots they are in...or is that asking too much of them? LOL
