Can you grow blueberry plants in a container? My soil pH is too high for outdoor planting.

yes they do well in pots as long as you keep well watered and fed.

I took advice and stood the large tubs in a tray, kept it full of water all summer. Had a lovely crop. I saved little
plastic containers, filled one alternate days. They are
now all in the freezer. I cook them in a little sugar and
use in trifles.

More thinking. Cant go out and measure my tubs as
its raining !
The fruit are finicky to pick, as dont ripen altogether.
Need patience from early June through to late September,
alternate days. If not picked they drop off.
I use Sainsbury's sandwich spread tubs. They are easy
to hold in the left hand with the lid in my pocket.
Pick with the right hand whilst searching for the fruit.
Then put the lid on, and its ready for the freezer.
I save these tubs during the winter months, keep in a bag in the greenhouse in the summer. Any similar size
would serve the same purpose.
Prune now, reducing the new growth by one third.
Protect from birds during fruiting time.

Yes you can. Plant it in a large container at least 20 inches wide. Use an ericaceous fertiliser to feed it.
