Surprised at the definitive 'No's here, as Bob Flowerdew on Gardeners' Question Time claimed he carried out an experiment which showed removing the flowers increased the yield of tubers with LATE potatoes. With earlies it made no difference.
The only reason not to do it, as far as I can see, is the amount of fiddling work it would entail for a very very small increase in tubers, maybe.
