Why is my newly-planted acacia robinia wilting?

That's what I thought. It was well watered at the time of planting and again a few days later. I gave it a good soaking after a couple of very hot days and since then the wilt has got worse. I'm wondering now whether I've actually overdone the watering.

Oh dear - I knew I should have waited till the autumn - but this specimen looked so good in the garden centre I couldn't resist it. I'll give it more time now and just hope for the best. Thank you!
