Why is my newly-planted acacia robinia wilting?

That's what I thought - particularly during this recent hot spell. It was well watered at the time of planting and again a few days later. I gave it a further soaking after a couple of really hot days and since then the wilting has got worse. I'm wondering now if I actually overdid the watering.
