I thought it was Laurel but can't remember it being aromatic !!!!

Sorry, but an anagram clue gives you the letters for the answer, but in a different order. So for Laurel they would have something like 'allure'.
Clue might be. "Aromatic shrub which has strange allure." 6 letters.
