when its all as short as you want it lol . only messing there isn't a time but don't do it wet and its not going to do much till spring now anyway .

I cut my grass last week as it was becoming so long.....it was wet, I have to admit, but this week it looks fine. Once I cut the grass on new years day .... it did no harm.

When it stops growing! I remember Bulba cutting our grass on New Year's Day many years ago when we had grass!

grass is very tough or should I say tuft mg lol . part of its life cycle is being eaten and burning . fantastic .

Don't cut if its waterlogged, frosted, frozen solid, or if there's a cold northerly wind blowing. Otherwise, cut any time you like - there's often a day or three in January where the weather's calm, mild and open, and that's an opportunity to cut it if it needs it, particularly if you didn't get a chance to cut in late October because it was too wet. Its being a bit damp shouldn't mean putting it off - it'll likely still be damp in March, and will by then be taller and therefore stay wetter for longer.
