I have a problem with my garden lillies in the way of a small red beetle which is eating the green and ruining the flower How do I get rid of it

Because they fly you can't effectively spray them, even if you wanted to. The only long-term control is to pick them off (both the adults and the larvae which obviously don't fly!) and break the generation-cycle. The problem is that even if you eradicate them from your Lilies they can and will fly in from neighbouring gardens.
