I know it is called morning glory : Grows on You

I know it is called morning glory, but does that actually mean that it only opens in the mornings, or is it just a name?

They do tend only to open in the mornings also only when it’s sunny I have a Japanese rare one (see my photos) that stays open until late afternoon
