Could it have been caught by the frost do you think

This plant is not hardy and, if you want to keep it over winter, it needs to be moved somewhere frost free.

That's funny Bamboo, I Googled it when the question first appeared just out of curiosity and it said hardy but cover in winter (seems a bit of a contradition?) Ahoton hasn't said where (s) he lives - things that are hardy in the South West are not necessarily hardy further north.

'hardy but cover in winter', hmm, well what does that tell you, lol! Best thing to do when you find that sort of contradictory comment is to check other sites - there's only one fully hardy one and that's A. jucundum.

Seems my reply to the question somehow vanished and there was only the final full stop! My understanding is as Bamboo's not hardy...

Last year they flowered on and off all winter but it was an exceptional year, I have some in pots too big to move and these are an experiment ( the rest are in the gh)
Semi hardy I'd call them.....
invisible ink Mg ?

Osteos are hardy in mild frost here, but suffer damage when the weather goes below -4ยบ C.
