I germinated seeds from Heritage tomato plants that I bought last year. One variety is called Cherokoo but can't recall the other names. I now have 30+ plants which are more than a foot high. None of the plants has developed any side shoots at all, which I find unusual and none have yet developed any flowers. I am feeding them weekly. I would be grateful for some advice

I think you mean the Cherokee purple tomato. You should not feed any tomato plant until the first truss of fruit has set. Feeding the plant now is encouraging leggy growth. It takes approx 3 months from planting out the seedlings to the fruits being ready so it really depends when you planted them out.
