I have several large rhododendrum in my front garden. I try to dead head them every year but some are too high for me to reach.Does it matter if I leave them?

We've got over 40 rhododendrons and whilst some get dead headed most don't I know it looks unsightly but by allowing the flowers to fall to the soil they help to add humus.

Although I do deadhead mine, I don't think it'll really matter considering you can't actually reach them! I bought a reduced one at the garden centre last year, it had flowered and wasn't looking great. It was spectacular this year so that's proof enough for me :o)
