Heavy rain here. Has been all day ...

We have Urbanite, a white lawn and paths but the roads are fine....

Heavy white frost with an overcoat of more frost and very cold.

Yes, very heavy rain started about 5pm and by 7pm we were white over, midnight and its still snowing.........

Across the pond weather report, location, two hours drive south from New York City. It has been unusually warm. Christmas eve night it was 54 F ( 12.22 C). While taking one of my dogs out for a night walk I nearly stepped on a frog who was on my patio looking for a winter snack, I suppose. I also see that some of my daffoldil bulbs have poked their way out too. In my shed I have a two gal container of gas waiting to fill my empty snowblower tank and I hope that condition continues to remain the same till spring. As far as the pumps in my ponds they are still running with no reason to turn them off so far and I can see my fish occasionly feeding on what food source is growing along the sides of the pond walls.

Not much more in Leicestershire overnight but reports further north and east are worse I think......keep snug

Snow here from mid evening last night,but it's thawed a little this morning..we now have treacherous Ice,so we won't be going out anywhere today.Take care everyone..

Here in Wuppertal it is snowing hard at the moment.(9am)....and the forecast says there is a lot more to come...a good job that I don´t have to go to work again until the 5th of January.

We had a couple of inches,Pam,it's the Ice that's more of a problem..we are at the bottom of a slope,so no way will we try to get to the main road,unless it thaws by lunchtime..Still got plenty of food left..no worries :o) x

Well, it came to nothing afterall, here! Really expected to wake up to several inches of the white stuff - no excuse not to go into town now (coffee with a friend during the sales - what was I thinking???)

In London, we had tons of lashing rain and horrendous gale force gusts of wind during the night, had to close the window on the north side because the wind was banging it back and forwards. No sign of the white stuff... but my sister to the west of Manchester has snow.

Its not going very quickly despite the bright sun, very crunchy underfoot, clouding over now.....hope we don't get any more.

We've had three days of frost, just about wall to wall sunshine, and some great birding!

No snow here just very heavy frost when I woke up this morning. beautiful blue sky and sun is shining. too cold to work outside though.

First snow here overnight last night and a very heavy frost - looks beautiful with sunshine and blue sky. Our son's car took 10 minutes to thaw, but a good clear day for his drive back to Cornwall.
