I was sitting in my diningroom last week and watching the birds eating my runner bean flowers when suddenly they vanished! Then a sparrow hawk came and sat looking in at me....I loved seeing this bird close up but then felt sorry for the small birds...Then felt sorry for my veg that they been eating. I dont want to put net up because last year a bird got caught,so does any one have any bright ideas how i can save my beans? Thanks Lozi xx

Hi Lozi not sure how you can keep the birds away other than growing your beans in a cage. You could trying hanging unwanted CDs and DVDs from strings the birds don't like the flashing light (neither do I for that matter!).

Hi Lozi, try hanging cd's on strings so they can sway and twist in the wind. It worked for me!
