i've collected some seeds from a petunia that has very sadly died. i was wondering when is the right time to sow them? would it be ok to sow them now and grow them in the greenhouse over winter to plant out next spring?

personally i wouldn't, i would make sure the seeds dry first, place in a brown bag or envelope and save until spring next year, they dont take long to germinate..

Put them in a small sealable container, like a pill bottle, label it, and store it in the top shelf of your refrigerator. With a few exceptions, extra or new seeds will keep better and longer in the fridge.
