Scotcat what software do you currently use to view your images?

I never resize mine and they are all taken on Fine . Have you tried uploading them as they are? Assuming you are using Word don't you have Paint installed? Pretty sure you can rescale them on there. There used to be an option somewhere that said "make all my pictures smaller" when you selected some for email. If that works you could do it and then copy the smaller images. Can't check if its still there as I'm on linux now.

Yes it used to resize on Goy but now seems got to resize myself before uploading bit of a hassel

If you're using an iPad there are a lot of free image resizing apps - I use Minima, which is really easy at it has a selection of standard sizes to choose from.
If you use a proper Mac then resizing can be done in Preview.
PCs - Paint is probably the easiest unless you have another photo editing program that you are used to using.
GoY may say upto 5Mb but consider the folk who are looking at the pics and have to wait for them to load (especially on blogs with lots of pics)
