planting crocosmia bulbs

i have just purchased some lucifer corms,and would like to know if it is ok to plant them out now,or when the best time of year is to plant them

I think that if it were me I would plant them in a pot and keep them in a coldframe or under the greenhouse bench until next spring, then plant them out.

Daventray,
You can get them in the ground now. Just plant 4 inches deep with a bit of bonemeal and mulch them. They will come up in the spring. They grow in the winter making new corms.
