The original rockery is shown below with the new pond part-dug. You will see the original small pond in the right hand corner, and the bare area at the back from where I removed all those awful bushes.
I removed all the ivy from round the area where the pond was to be and took down the stonework and re- built it.

I'm now really confused. I thought the monkey puzzle had gone and you weren't having a pond at all? Do You still want the little plants I was going to send you when you got home? Haven't been in touch as have been in bed with flu all week.
