My garden is being wrecked by nightly visits by badgers. What can I do to prevent this ?

members who have suffered here have tied rags soaked in jeyes fluid where you think they are coming in to your garden. I haven't had the problem yet. hopefully I wont.

Hi Villaman and welcome to GoY. Good luck with your badger problem.

You do need to find the point of ingress and block it off. I used Jeyes fluid as well as pegging down the wire netting fence and so far they have not been back, at least not to the same extent.

well you have a lot of food sources if your getting badgers I the garden, especially worms! should stop in summer since the ground it stone baked hard but what I suggest you do is jeyes fluid just like everyone else is suggesting.

Sorry WLB summer doesn't deter the badgers particularly up here in Scotland where the ground is never baked.

And all they seem to do here is dig latrines. Oh and eat all the tulip bulbs, then dig a toilet! All the year round visits too!

Haven't been able to stop ours. I did try chilli pepper on one bank they were digging up but having got a tiny bit in my eye once i haven't the heart to do it again..we now have a path worn diagonally across the back lawn. They seem to stick to the same route for generations come what may so I guess they were here before us...

Type into your search engine " badger.org" you will get plenty of useful information on that site. Also you can enter " the badger trust" for additional information. I believe that " the badger trust" is UK based. Credit for this answer goes to GOY member, UKslim.
