I have two weeping willow pear trees that were planted five years ago at the base of both these trees it seems that another tree is growing and taking over the weeping stems what should I do without damaging my trees??

On plant Pyrus salicifolia

Answers

Your trees are grafted and the root stock is trying to take over. Remove the stems below the graft as they will be more vigorous than the weeping pear, or is it a weeping willow - can't be both.
