Two years ago I bought a rhododendron from a local garden cenre (cost £35) - it did not flower last year, only produced leaves from the 'rosette'. I went to ask them why - and was told I had overfed it. I only followed feeding instructions. This year the same thing is happening. It is in a border with another rhodo, camelias and azaleas. Please help ?

Most likely to be lack of water in late summer when the flower buds are forming. The only time when 'over feeding' could be a problem is when too high nitrogen fertilizer is used to promote lots of leafy growth at the expense of the flowers. Some extra potash in summer will do much to help.
