I agree not the best idea. I have had them grow in the bin and the prickles do take a long time to degrade. This is one of those plants that go in the council garden bin. their heaps get hotter than mine.

I would not recommend it. 1. They would possibly root and grow. 2. Even if they decayed, there could still be prickles in the mix (Ouch!)
