Please help identify this plant. Does it flower? Can I grow it from seed? Thanks

Not sure about that Badfish - I've never seen Bergenia with woody stems.

MIne have woody stems, but they are donkeys years old.
They like plenty to drink in early spring. Will produce lovely flowers. I used to wash my car and throw the water on the
Berginia to get this result.

Ok - there was one in my mothers garden that was 40 years old at least (can't remember a time when it wasn't there - right next to the gate and our cat would hide behind it to pounce on us kids as we came home from school) it was an absolute monster the last time I saw it but no woody stems.

I agree Helen,it's a Bergenia..It really needs to be in the ground,as it looks as though it is struggling,in the small pot..The leaves are so small, and they have big leaves in the right conditions..Full sun or part shade, and not fussy about soil ..mine are under a tree,to fill a gap where nothing much else will grow..you can easily take cuttings..

Looks like a Bergenia (cordifolia ?)...should start to get pink flowers around now. Never seen seed for sale but they grow easily from cuttings
