The seeds that come out of the Amarryllis pod, can they be planted or potted?

About 3-5 years from seed to bloom for Dutch Amaryllis, and about 5-7 years for Amaryllis belladonna. Rewarding, but definitely not instant gratification. Plant the seeds about 1/2 inch down, in a pot of fast draining soil mix--now for Dutch Amaryllis, or in the fall for Amaryllis belladonna. The new seedlings look like coarse grass, and will have marble-sized bulbs by the beginning of next growing season, when they can be transplanted into the ground, or individual pots.

Don’t see why not what sort of amaryllis are they? They will properly form into bulbs and may not be flowering size for a few years.
