Generally Pittosporum are not that hardy and none like nrtoh facing deep shade as Bamboo has said. If you want them to do well then a sheltered spot is required, so I would advise of not using Pittosporum in shade.
Skimmia japonica is a woodland/forest plant that is deep green in shade. It is another plant much abused by landscapers and put in full sun and they end up yellow and rather sad looking. Deep shade and they are lush green.

You will want to stay away from P. undulatum. It grows to 50+ feet tall (I have a wood that is 95% this tree) and will cause shade.
