Suggestion required... Seeing the previous question about verbena bonariensis, can anyone suggest a similar tall, wafty, white flowered perennial. Ideally attractive to bees and butterflies. I have purple V.B. but I have it in mind that there is something similar but with white flowers (not cow parsley or giant hogweed!) or maybe someone knows of a white strain of V.B.

There is a white flowered thalictrum if that's any use.

Hi, have a look at Crambe cordifolia, Derek.

Thanks, both. The Crambe is a new on on me - may be a bit too bulky at the base for my little narrow raised beds.
I like thalictrum - had a look at the range and there are a couple of tall white flowered varieties: "Anne" with purple stems that looks interesting and "Elin" with blue leaves.
Also T. aquilegifolium "White Cloud" - though not as tall as I would like but has the 'demented spider' flowers. I have a couple of plant fairs pencilled into my diary so might wait to see what is on offer.

Hope you find what you want.
