Patrinia scabiosifolia
does any one grow this plant, two of its common names are Golden lace and yellow Valerian . Is it for sun/partial shade. It isn't listed in my RHS book. is this a plant for the back of my shady border?
I have found a pot of it in the cold frame. Don't remember when / where I got it from.

I have never heard of it but after reading the following link I have nominated it for goypedia mixed planting category. I wonder if a seed arrived in a pot of something else. It is described as a short lived perennial which can be propagated under glass from seed. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/howtogrow/3305743/How-to-grow-Patrinia-scabiosifolia.html

It has its name label in the pot so it cant be a self seed. I also read the article but I am a suspicious old thing and hope to have the experience of a GoYer who has grown it.

I have never heard of it Sbg so I googled it. I wonder if the reason you don't remember it is because a seed has come in a pot of something else. It sounds like a great find. Short lived perennial by all accounts. See http://www.telegraph.co.uk/gardening/howtogrow/3305743/How-to-grow-Patrinia-scabiosifolia.html
