I planted 1st early potatoes in containers about 4 weeks ago after chitting them. Currently there is no sign of them starting to come through. How long should it take for them to start to appear?

Thanks for the replies. In answer to Landgirl100 they are planted outside. Containers have about 6 inches of compost and the chits are about 2 inches below the surface.

How deep did you plant them? And are they in the greenhouse or outside? I'm sure they will come through in their own time.
