I have a Poinsetta in a basket with Ivy, a small fir which doesn't seem to grow and a small multi-coloured leaf plant. The Poinsetta lost its red foliage last year and remained dormant this winter, Now all stems have developed red petals. Should I leave as it is until they are gone and then try and transplant or let it stay as it is. It lives on the kitchen window sill above the sink and gets the last of the days light.

« How to I get rid of epimidium that has run out of control ?
Red petals or red leaves? Unless its quite a large, deep basket (which I assume it isn't if its on a windowsill), the plants within will by now not have much root room.
A photograph would be useful, if you can post one.
