Is this the one that you wanted to prune a couple of weeks ago? It's certainly burst forth in a blaze of glory.
How long do the flowers last?

The Sun King I noticed by some of my pics that it was in bud on the 9th March but think it may have started budding in middle of Feb? It's still flowering now but noticed some have dropped to the ground, & yes Urbanite I did want to prune it back a little to tidy it up but I didn't as I would hate to damage this Spectacular Shrub, they do say it is best to put it against a wall in the sun, I have one in a pot that is struggling so may put it in a bigger pot & against a wall.
