As some of you might remember, most of my onions bolted. Can I try again this year? Can I plant in the same place as the bolted onions have been dug up?

It is too late to plant onion sets for this year Great wait until next spring. It is never a good idea to plant the same crop in the same place year on year as this can cause a build up of disease in the soil.
