Have just returned from the fabulous tulip fields where they have lawns patterned in differrant shades of green. Can we buy lawn seed in lighter and darker greeens so as to produce patterns, it looked very impressive and differrant.

No, all the lawns had an 18" border in a darker green, (they did need cutting,) but in places they certainly had differrant coloured grasses or types of grass.

It is possible to do it with different grass seeds but they would eventually spread into the other areas. I would say that it's the way it's been cut. Have a look at some of the top football pitches in the country, the patterns on those are amaizing.

Out of over 100 pics of the gardens , none of them show the differrent shades of green on the lawns. I will put some general pics into the picture gallery though, it was so impressive.
