Stranger in the greenhouse.
A couple of months ago, on advice from a couple of you guys I bought a packet of Malope Tryfida seeds and carefully set 20 seeds in small pots.they all grew and 16 are now in the front garden - growing I hope !
I have 4 spares for if I lose any but one is obviousl not what it should be. ( see photo). I don't suppose anyone can tell me what it is ? A weed possibly ?

Looks like a member of the Fuchsia family....Clarkia seedling or Purple Loostrife perhaps ?

yea, I'm not sure its a weed either, reminds me of a fuchsia type plant. Grow it on and see what happens, you can always bin it later.

Could be an antirrhinum

Thanks, I hoped might be something decent. It's growing quicker than the Malope and I'll look after it and send you a further photo when appropriate.

No idea but it looks healthy! Agree it has a look of fuchsia but that's hardly possible. I'd certainly keep it until it declares itself.

I also think it looks like Antirrhinum.

Previous question
Definitely a weed. Looks like a tree seedling from the compost.
