can i move clematis montana now .it has flower buds it was planted 12 months ago but we can see it,s going to be too strong where he is .so if i dig big hole all around so as not to harm roots ,will he be ok

Probably, it's very hard to kill! You will need to keep it well-watered after the move. I would let it flower first, then cut it back before moving.
