hi all........i have two acers one is a blood red one and has just come into leaf and looks great my other one is the same size about six feet tall but a green variety last year it had a few dead branches and this year it seems to be getting worse any ideas why and can i do anything

These trees do suffer from dieback quite a lot. Cut back to live wood (not too deep into live wood or it'll bleed, just on the line where the dead ends and the live begins) on the one that's suffering and feed it with a balanced general purpose fertiliser, but to be honest, once they start this problem, it usually gets 'em in the end. Still worth trying to keep it going though.
