Hi, welcome to GoY, for plants that like a neutral or alkaline soil, feeding with an ericaceous feed could make the soil too acid, which could in turn prevent the plant from taking up any nutrients, which could eventually kill off the plants, although it could take a season or more to kill it, Derek.
