I've recently either seen on TV or read somewhere that with fig in a pot one should take off the growing tips and some leaves so that only three leaves remain on a branch. Does this encourage development of fruit? Sorry about my memory of where I saw this; it's probably from Gardening Which? unless someone here saw it on Gardeners World .

Don't know much about figs, but the following may help you, or just Google 'fig in container' and see what comes up!
