I put mine outside for the summer, keep it watered and feed it occasionally.....seems to work!

Balcony told me to feed with a general fertilizer, and then when the flowers have died continue to feed through the summer with tomato fertilizer. At the end of August stop watering and keep dry - the leaves will eventually die back.

There's a member on the site named Balcony who is a whiz with amaryllis. Got to their page and find one of the blogs about them.
