I have a young acer tree in a pot n my backyard which has accidentally been splashed with turps from the decorating. The leaves have closed and look white on some of the foliage. Will this recover is there a cure ? Thanks in advance

If only a few leaves were affected, just cut them off. The tree will recover. Flush out the tree with water in case any got into to soil. Acers are fairly resilient.

Agree with Bathgate. You could also give your Acer a feed with Sequestrine to help it along.
