Chilli plant pollination
United Kingdom
I have been growing some chilli plants from seeds on the window sill at work. They have grown really quickly and are currently producing lots of flowers. However, when the flowers drop off no fruit seems to be growing. I am unsure whether I need to pollinate the plant for this to happen? If it does need to be polinated does it need to be from a same specie plant/any plant/any chilli plant?? Or can i simply transfer some pollen form one of the other plants in the same pot? Thanks

Most peppers need to have an insect pollinator. If yours are indoors then you can pollinate it yourself. I use a small soft paint brush and just twirl it around inside the blooms. This should take care of it for you.

Not 100 percent sure but some plants put out males long before female flowers. These may be the males hence no fruit yet.
