As Rohima says, there is no reason why you cannot keep your plant fruiting indoors. I usually keep getting chillis from my plants well into January, but then discard them and sow new seed. Chilli plants are perennials; a friend has had the same plants in his sunny porch for 4 years now.

I am currently growing two chilli plants in an unheated conservatory, so far so good. Just abit of fun but if they are happy then I shall be ahead with earlier chilli's next year. Fingers crossed of course.

I have over wintered the hot "naga" chilli plant indoors on the kitchen window sill. Havn't tried scotch bonnet but would assume they can be kept the same way as they are quite similar.May be other goy members can correct this if i am wrong.
