a friend who has no it is having a problem with his corgettes. he saya that while the plant is growing as they have in the past, this season the flowes have appeared to grow on long stemsthe thickness of approx his finger, and nothing else has happen. can you help please, thanks, jack.

The flowers on long stems are the male flowers. Soon, if not already, the female flowers with the embryo fruits will form and he will get courgettes.

Finger thick is pretty thick for male flowers though. In my experience, the male flower stems are usually no more than pencil thick, and the baby courgettes run around finger thick. If they aren't turning into courgettes, it probably means that they weren't pollinated.
