We decided to try growing sweetcorn this year.. not knowing anything about it other than it tastes good. The plant is now about 8 foot tall and we have had to take a glass panel out of the roof of the greenhouse.. must publish a piccy of that !! very funny !
My question is - how many cobs can I expect per plant ?

For pollination, be sure to shake the tassels every morning once the silk shows on the cobs. Poor pollination won't reduce the number of cobs, but it will make the cobs very "gap-toothed"!

Well unless you have a windy greenhouse you may not get any at all as they are wind pollenated and you need more than one as they are not self fertile. Usually we get 2 cobs per plant.
